《中国学生周报》停刊之因研究

摘要：《中国学生周报》由友联出版社创办，自1952年发行，直至1974年停刊，是20世纪50、60年代香港地区极受学生欢迎的报刊。学界目前关于此刊物的研究多种多样，然而这份坚守22年的报刊究竟为何停刊，个中原因，有待进一步分析。经研究，《周报》的停刊可归因为：资金链的断裂；深陷经营困局；与受众的期望产生落差；跟不上时代变化；竞争逐渐加剧。在现有研究相对匮乏的背景下，重新审视《周报》的停刊原因，不仅能够揭示其在特定历史语境下的运作困境与文化处境，也有助于拓展对香港报刊传媒变迁的理解，并为该刊物的研究提供新的分析视角，推动相关研究的深入发展。

Title: A Study on the Reasons for the Discontinuation of The Chinese Student Weekly

Abstract: Founded by Union Press, The China Students Weekly was published from 1952 until its discontinuation in 1974. It was a highly popular newspaper among students in Hong Kong during the 1950s and 1960s. There is a wide variety of current academic research concerning this publication. However, the reasons for its discontinuation after 22 years of circulation require further analysis. The discontinuation of the Weekly can be attributed to: the break in the funding chain; being mired in operational difficulties; a discrepancy with the expectations of its audience; failure to keep pace with changes in the times; and the gradual intensification of competition. In the context of relatively limited existing research, re-examining the reasons for the discontinuation of the Weekly not only reveals its operational difficulties and cultural situation in a specific historical context, but also helps to expand the understanding of the evolution of Hong Kong’s newspaper and media landscape. Moreover, it provides a new analytical perspective for research on this publication and promotes in-depth development of related studies.
