Journal of Chinese Language Education and Evaluation (JCLEE)

The Journal of Chinese Language Education and Evaluation (JCLEE) (ISSN 3078 283X) is a peer-reviewed academic journal published by HIEP Publishing House, based in Hong Kong. JCLEE publishes two issues each year in both Chinese and English.. There are no Article Processing Charges (APC) for submissions, and all content is fully open access. Manuscripts can be submitted via email to jclee2025@163.com. To facilitate the review process, please label your submission with “Anonymous + Title” and “Name + Title”.Please note: The journal does work with any third parties for manuscript solicitation. All publications are free of charge.  The first issue of JCLEE is scheduled to publish in 2025, and the electronic version will be freely available for download on its website: www.cleejournal.com (under construction).

Scope and Topics

JCLEE focuses on a wide range of topics related to Chinese language education, including:

Language teaching and Evaluation (including curriculum, teaching materials, teaching methods)

Chinese Language Education and Evaluation (including linguistics, dialects, second foreign language acquisition)

Chinese Literature Education and Evaluation (including Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Literature education and evaluation)

International Chinese Language Education and Evaluation (including overseas Chinese language teaching and Evaluation)

Comparative education between Chinese and foreign languages

Chinese education and international communication

Cross-cultural communication and mutual learning between Chinese and foreign civilizations

This journal encourages interdisciplinary research, particularly on emerging topics such as the integration of artificial intelligence in Chinese language education and evaluation. In line with international standard, JCLEE does not have fixed sections or columns, but accepts high-quality research within these areas of focus. At the same time, to promote the latest academic achievements, the journal has long solicited book reviews, and the format of the book reviews is consistent with the format requirements of the articles.
